Balloon Sinuplasty: Fast Relief for Chronic Sinus Pressure, Congestions and Infections

What is balloon sinuplasty?

Balloon sinuplasty is a minimally invasive we preform in our offices located around Tampa Bay that gently widens natural sinus openings using a tiny balloon catheter. No tissue is removed; passages are restored to drain and ventilate properly.

Who’s a good candidate?

  • Chronic sinusitis (≥12 weeks) or recurrent infections

  • Symptoms despite medications and rinses

  • CT evidence of ostial blockage(we have CT scanners in the office)

  • No need for general Anesthesia or Hospital Admission

What to expect on procedure day

  • Topical/local anesthesia; most patients remain comfortable

  • A 3D image guided balloons are individually placed under endoscopic view

  • The balloon is briefly inflated to remodel the opening and removed

  • Nothing stays in your nose and no nasal packing is usually needed.
  • Typical treatment time: ~30–60 minutes

Recovery & results

  • Most return to normal activity within 24–48 hours

  • Less bleeding and discomfort than traditional Sinus surgery

  • Many report fewer infections and improved pressure and breathing

When to schedule in our Tampa Bay offices

Persistent congestion, pressure, or infections despite care? An ENT evaluation with CT review can confirm candidacy.
